We sit down with two 2022 NFL Draft prospects, Eric Wilson and Michael Griffin, to hear their journey
, hopes, and dreams to make it to the NFL.

Eric Wilson

After captain Eric Wilson helped convert his high school team into State Champions, he went on to pursue his football dreams in Boston at Harvard. “You go in that first day and you start trying to block a 23-year-old; it's pretty tough,” he says. After losing out on his senior season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Eric put his name in the transfer portal to weigh his options. After landing at Penn State, Eric said he had to earn his spot, “you're coming in as the Ivy League guy. So you've got to prove that you can play at a Big Ten program.”

After finishing a successful collegiate career, Eric went out to New Jersey for combine training in preparation for his Pro Day.

“If you're a guy in my position, you don't know necessarily know, who's going to take a chance on you. You just got to keep grinding. And that's what is going to make this next month all the all the more sweet when [a] team does give you that opportunity and you make the most of it.”

Following the NFL Draft, Eric was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent.

Michael Griffin

Starting football in seventh grade, Michael dreamt of getting to the top. In high school he started seeing his own progression in the sport which led to him play football in college at Southwest Minnesota. But Michael knew he wanted more. He decided to transfer to South Dakota State, a Division One program. After transferring, Michael lost his scholarship and had to walk-on to the team. “I really had to fight for it to start back over and prove that I could do it to myself,” he said. Being seventh on the depth chart, he fought his way to the top.

Days away form the draft, Michael says, “something that I've been dreaming of my whole life. As a as an athlete you hope to get to the top and to hear your name because it's something that not a lot of people can do.”
